Food Skulls

Artist Michelle Bernard from Ocean Grove, NJ told us: “This skull was made from a slice of bread. The fresh loaf I purchased had a really ‘fat’ top and when I sliced off a piece, it made me think of a skull. So I carved out a little face.”

This skull was done by Elspeth age 6. Her mom wrote: “We were thinking of you when we had brunch recently at Mixto.”

Sara Yzaguirre from McAllen, Texas sent us a skull platter.
